2012 Proposed Bylaws Revisions

The proposed 2012 Bylaws revisions are shown below.

Proposed Revision #1: Purpose of Society

Revise the Preamble of the Bylaws from:

  • “The purpose of this Society shall be to advance and disseminate knowledge concerning the principles and applications of microanalysis down to the atomic level.”

to:

  • “The purpose of this Society shall be to advance and disseminate knowledge concerning the principles, instrumentation and applications of microanalysis down to the atomic level.”

 

Proposed Revision #2: Sustaining Membership

Revise Article III, Section 1e from:

  • “Sustaining memberships shall include a maximum of two Regular Memberships to be annually designated by the Sustaining Member.”

to:

  • “Sustaining Members shall designate a maximum of three individuals as Regular Members of the Society.”

A corresponding revision to Article III, Section 3 will be made for consistency with the above.
